“You guys have snow days but where I come from we have
ash days”

When I was in middle school, a fire had started in the mountains near my neighborhood. The smoke it produced was so bad it was deemed unsafe to leave our houses and my school told everyone to stay home, calling it an “Ash Day”. Watching Hey Arnold growing up and wishing for the same “Snow Day” he and the other kids enjoyed, I remember thinking “Oh this is what that feels like”. Nothing like a natural disaster to remove you from responsibility and let you make art for the day.
As a native to Los Angeles, art, storytelling, and survival from fire is not only what makes up the local culture but also is a big part of who I am (especially the survival from fire). As a Comic Artist and Illustrator, my work mainly focuses on the stories of people who may live in fantastical worlds but are no different than you or me.
My art style focuses on organic but exaggerated human emotion and form, doubled with an acute attention to detail and moody atmospheres that allow a story to be told without the specific need of words and are inspired by works from Studio Ghibli, Radiata Stories, and Disney.
I love sharing ideas and collaborating over art and comics which is only rivaled by my unnatural love of boba tea, so find your favorite boba tea shop and lets chat.
